Graduate Studies Board

This is a board that will be mandated to handle graduate students studies including their research within schools. It will work very closely with the deans of schools to handle graduate matters with the utmost quality. The membership of this board will include the following people:
  1. The Graduate School Dean;
  2. One Senate representative from the public;
  3. Deans of Schools;
  4. One representative from National Council for Science and Technology (NCST);
  5. Director Engagement, Research & Innovations;
  6. Director ICT, Quality Assurance & Library Services;
  7. Director Finance and Administration;
  8. One student representative;
  9. The Secretary (to be provided by the Directorate of Academic Affairs).
The Terms of Reference for this Board will be;
  1. To receive, consider and recommend to Senate proposals from the School Committees on research and graduate training;
  2. To harmonize all graduate programmes;
  3. To review the regulations governing Graduate academic programmes and make recommendations to the Senate;
  4. To receive from School Committees recommendations on all the applications for entry into Graduate academic programmes and take decisions as per Senate guidelines;
  5. To consider and take decisions on cases of Appeals on graduate examination matters;
