Eddy K. Tukamushaba is a Professor and Ag. Vice Chancellor of Uganda Technology and Management University and caretaker as the Dean School of Business. Prior to being appointed as Ag. Vice chancellor, he was an Associate Professor at Stenden University of Applied Sciences Qatar. He Joined Higher Education teaching in December 2001 as a teaching assistant, a lecturer and the head of department Leisure and Hospitality for two years at Makerere University Business School until he left in December 2013.
He holds a PhD in Hotel and Tourism Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) and First Class Honours Degree in Tourism Management from Makerere University. Eddy has over 25 publications in peer reviewed journals and book chapters and several conference papers. Some of his publications have appeared in: International Journal of Market Research, Journal of International Entrepreneurship, Journal of China Tourism Research, International Journal of Business and Management Studies, International Journal of Tourism Sciences, International Journal of Hospitality and Events Management, Journal of Tourism, Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism, Encyclopedia of Tourism and Journal of Managerial Psychology. He has obtained best paper awards at different international conferences.
Prof. Eddy Tukamushaba has acted as an external examiner for Chinhoyi University of Science and Technology in the School of Hospitality and Tourism, acted as a chair to a committee to review programs on behalf of National Council for Higher Education in Namibia and Uganda, designed and delivered a course on empirical business research at Munich University of Applied Sciences in Germany, taught courses in Marketing as a part time staff at the college of North Atlantic Qatar and Makerere University. He brings over 20 years of teaching, research, curriculum design and education management experience in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe.
