CPA Assumpta Nabachwa Muweera is the University Controller at Uganda Technology and Management University.

She is a Certified Chartered Accountant and Development Specialist with over 20 years of expertise in Finance, Human Resource and Organization Development. She is a member of the Chartered Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA Uganda) under CPA No. 448 and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants United Kingdom. She has attained several post graduate qualifications in International Policy Advocacy, Gender, Human Rights and Organizational Development.

Mrs. Muweera has held numerous positions as a Financial and Administrative Consultant, Chairperson, Board Member and Treasurer to mention but a few. She joined UTAMU with an uncompetitive level of knowledge and expertise which has directed the financial and managerial stability of the university. Her contribution to the university has created hope and a promise of bigger and greater things at UTAMU.

She has done various consultees in Uganda and internationally. She has written various publications one of which is titled ‘Succession Planning and sustainability of Non-Government Organizations in Uganda.’

Having been considered a virtue of time keeping which has amplified her principles, Mrs. Muweera believes as Ann Marie Sabath rightly put it “People who can manage their time can also manage their money. After all, managing minutes and managing money is the same principle”.
